Throwback Photo Series: Portraits

I captured so much  photos for the past 10 years being a photographer. I didn't know that photography was going to be a passion of mine. When I first started taking pictures back in 2009 I didn't know I would be also building great relationship with the subjects that I shot.

One of the best photos I love to capture is candid photos because it's their staged or scripted. Here are some old school photos I took between the years of 2009-2011 using different cameras and lenses.

I took this photo in January 2011 using a Canon 40D with a 18-50mm lens at one of the most popular lounges in New York City called Sway. This photo features Sincere (@iamsin)  and the late great Ease Da Man.

Now back in 2010 I built so many relationships by going to a tattoo party hosted by (@thehoodchef) I didn't get a tattoo but I did network with strangers who I now can call my friends now.

I shot this photo of @thehoodchef and other images using Canon 40D with the 18-50mm 2.8 lens

I got the opportunity to capture one of my good friends and one of favorite artist @misterstarcity. In 2012 I had a photo session with Mister Star City at Coney Island,Brooklyn. The camera I used was the Canon 7D with 14mm lens,ISO 200,F/7.1

One of my favorite places to take photos of people is in Soho,New York, because the most fashionable people walks the streets of Soho and  candid photos come out the best.

On this day I bumped into one of my other favorite artist @joebyjoe. I used the Canon 5D Mark III with 24-70mm Lens,ISO 800,F/3.2

One of my favorite music artist is Telli (@thetellinigga) who is one half of punk rap group Ninja Sonik. I first discovered Telli by going to a Ninja Sonik show back in 2012.

I used a Canon 60D with 50mm 1.4 lens,ISO 3200,F5.6.
